Beer in a compost pile? good or bad?
I know that you do not put meats or oils in compost piles but is ok to put old beer in it?
(coors light incase you are wondering, sometimes I do not finish a whole beer and this is what I am left with)
thanks!

Beer is great for composts! Then use the compost on your lawn and it'll come up half cut!

It is a very good source of moisture and nitrogen for compost, as well as the pee that beer causes. Also colas that have gone flat (not diet).

I don't want to cry in public ... (sigh) ... ah, U could try inviting someone over to come share a beer with U, so U wouldn't have any left over? I mean, (ahem) ... I ah, I like beer, but not too much, as I'm trying to cut back. ;-)

That's how I filter my beer. It tastes much better after compost brewing.

What a waste of a beer :tear:
Go for it !
You can also use your stale beer in a saucer or in an empty tuna tin in your veggie garden to keep the slugs out of your veggies.

Beer will not hurt and very well might be very beneficial to your compost pile.
