The seven episodes of the new second season of Jericho have finished filming, but they are waiting for a timeslot. It could be as early as next month (if something is canceled) or as late as early next year. No official date has been announced. (I'm guessing that they will be smart and leave it until January so they can do a full publicity push.)

Basically, it is going to go in a spot in which another show was canceled. If no shows are canceled by then (unlikely), then they will probably put a show on hiatus to air it, as ABC did when they put Men In Trees on hiatus to air October Road. Hopefully the time spent waiting will allow people to hear about the show, catch up, and decide they want to watch it, as only stellar ratings will keep it around for more episodes and/or a third season.

They are expected to begin airing at some point between November 2007 and January 2008.
