New Orleans Night Life?
For someone who lives in New Orleans or has been recently how is the nightlife there? I am from Miami and I am used to going to clubs or bars at 1am and having dinner at 11pm etc..
How late does the city stay opened? How many clubs are there? Or is alot more bars and live music? Do you feel safe in the areas where there is night life?
Thanks

New Orleans is perfectly safe for tourists and anyone that says it is not doesn't know what they are talking about. 99% of the crime in this city originates in a single neighborhood called central city, where no tourist would ever go. There are no restaurants there, no clubs etc. so you would never accidentally "wander" into that area. Further, no cab driver or bus driver would ever even let you out in that area. So don't worry about crime. Go to Bourbon Street, where there are at least 20 bars and clubs open 24/7 and tons of amazing restaurants within just a few blocks.

new orleans nightlife doesn't stop. they have clubs and also bars with live music. its up to you what kind of atmosphere you want. personally i dont find it too dangerous out there. just watch kind of situations you put yourself in just as you would anywheres else. have fun. and don't buy any drugs out there.
