If she has full coverage then you're covered. Insurance covers the vehicle regardless of who's driving unless the policy has some disclaimer that only "X" can operate the vehicle.
If you're car was stolen and involved in a accident you're insurance would cover the damage and injuries.
Plus since you were rear-ended and the other driver said she was at fault ( did she tell a police officer this and did she get a ticket)? If not, she can always go back on her story but it's kinda hard to come up with a plausable excuse when you hit somebody in the rear.
Her insurance will be responsible, your friends insurance will not even care. They will tell you to contact the at-fault drivers insurance.

Worst case, your fiends liability limits might be reduced down to the state minimum limit as an unlisted driver was driving the vehicle. But this would not matter as you were not at fault.
It's not a good idea to be a constaint driver of your friends vehicle and not be listed on her policy. if you were to have another accident her insurance company would start asked why you were again driving her vehicle. If the carrier found out that you were driving the vehicle often and not listed on the policy, they would probably non-renew the policy (you're an "unknown risk")

It honestly depends on the state you are in and the coverage she has. Many states require that insurance cover the vehicle, rather than the driver. If this is the case in your state then you are fine. If however you are in a state that insures the driver rather than the vehicle, then you are an uninsured motorist.

You are fine. I hope you guys weren't injured. I work for a personal injury law firm and this happens more than you would imagine. If she gave you permission then you are fine and seeing that she was sitting in there with you and you weren't kidnapping her you should be ok. Where to problem would arise would have been if you were driving and hit someone else. Then her insurance company would have a problem paying for damages their customer (your friend) did not make. You are okay.

if she has full coverage then her policy should cover a "licensed guest driver". the insurance is on the car, not the driver. the other person was at fault anyway because they rear ended you.

Hi
If your friends insurance allows any other driver (subject to conditions) driving with permission of the owner you should be ok if you fulfill the conditions! such as age, claims record etc.
Your own car insurance does not matter as long as the vehicle you were drivings Insurance covers you

You need to ask your friend about her insurance. Some have coverage for that and some don't. What you have won't have anything to do with her car and her insurance.

The car is covered and it wasn't your fault. I don't think you can get into trouble but if I were you I'd insure my car regardless of whether or not I could drive it

YOU ARE OK, SHE HAD INSURANCE AND YOU ARE A LICENSED DRIVER, SO NOW IF IT WAS THE OTHER PERSON'S FAULT, YOU ARE OK AND IT IT WAS YOUR FAULT THEN HER INS WILL COVER IT, BUT THE ONLY THING IS IF IT WAS YOUR FAULT YOU WILL PROBABLY GET A TICKET AND SOME POINTS. I DON'T SEE IT ANYOTHER WAY. GOOD LUCK

Driving without insurance is ILLEGAL. It might help some that the car is covered, but you were the one driving it. I could be wrong, I'm no professional...
