A friend of mine - her daughter was in a terrible accident last week and well she ended up hitting an UNMARKED POLICE CAR HEAD On with very sad results..i also knew the Officer that was killed, he left a 9 , 7 and 4 yr old ... This poor kid has to live with this result the rest of her life! it was 930 am broad daylight- SHE SIMPLY WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION. TOOK HER EYES OFF THE ROAD FOR A SECOND..ONLY TO OVER

The funeral for this Officer - was huge! Saturday... there were police cars 4 rows deep for 1/2 mile from the cemetary and at least 500 motorcycle officers papers said 5th officer in 73 yrs to be killed in the of duty.

I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING HUN! i too had a few friends die due to drinking and driving- MONTANA ROADS SUCK ANYWAY but to be impaired by alcohol makes it just to damn sad. When I was a senior i HS, my best friend was killed - coming to my bday party that she planned for me. needless to say we could not have a party.

Then last wed, my mom was rearended - SHE IS IN INTENSE PAIN - She was hit so hard she herniated a couple of disks in her neck I WISH PEOPLE WOULD STAY OFF CELL PHONES WHEN DRIVING- OR AT LEAST USE A SPEAKER PHONE,

No when my daughter was 8y my neighbor came over to my house to tell me that my daughter had been hit by a car while on her bike. I had never been so scared in my entire life. She was fine she hit the car the car didn't hit her. But i can tell you she is the most careful kid on a bike now.

Your daughter wasn't hurt she was lucky they all were. We tell our kids don't drink and drive, always wear a seat belt.(you know this to be true just from your own experinces) and they are like "OK mom" then it goes in one ear and out the other. It can't happen to me. Well it can and she knows it now.

I have never gotten that phone call, but I was the Idiot who drove after a night of drinking with my friends in the car. We got into a accident, I went strait through a T intersection and flew into a field. (thank God for airbags.) Both of my friends were hurt and I was OK. When They took me to the hospital and when I went to jail, even though I totaled my car and was trashed, all I could think about were my friends, they would not tell me how they were doing because of the HIP-PA laws, they cant. Now they are sewing my insurance company to pay for the injuries (thank goodness they were only minor) and my insurance company is totally screwing them over. One of the girls who were with me is my roommate and I feel so bad every time she complains that her back is hurting because I know it is my fault. If I could afford it I would give her the money my insurance isn't. It is amazing how karma works. How I was the stupid one who thought I could drive and they have to pay for it. It kills me everyday to think about how much worse it could have been.. You never think it will happen to you.. it is amazing how 2 seconds can change your life forever. I will never understand how people could be repeat offenders of drinking and driving. How people can be so ignorant, I will never understand.

Thank God your daughter is OK. I will say a prayer for her and her friend to have a speedy recovery.
