would you call your x to tell them you are going on a date the next night?

Three things I would think.

1. He's trying to make you jealous

2. He wants you back and is showing you he's still worth something by showing you how quickly he could get a date.

3. He might even be trying to make you feel better by showing you he's moving on and that you can, too.

I sort of doubt the last one, though.

I personally wouldn't. That's why they're an ex. The only reasons I would call is to be petty & to cause trouble. On very rare occasions I could see an ex that you are friendly with calling to celebrate a date, but that's pretty rare.

Just tell him "congratulations" & leave it at that. 9 times out of 10 the ex is just trying to play mind games & the whole thing ends badly.

Big NO! If u r goin out on a date, u r all excited abt it and wouldn't wanna call ua ex in the 1st place. They belong in the past. They guy is out to make u jealous, see how u will react...... He probably doesn't even have a date! He's not over u.

the only reason i could think why someone would do that would e to start trouble and get their ex jealous. i could be wrong, but i dont see any good of telling an ex they are doing out on a date with someone else, unless they are trying to make the other person feel like crap.

whoa im sure his getting attention from you and to show off to you that he still can get a date.what a desperate *** he is and cheap.im sure his expecting you to get jealous....or to see if you do still like him.

If that happens again tell him"Oh thats great hope you guys work out well ,okay i gotta go bye"in a sweet and kind voice , then hang up the phone.like your busy doing something...

Show him you dont care even he tells you or you see them...together..!!

he is either trying to make you jealous or if you guys are still friends, maybe he just wants to be open and honest so you wont find out from some one else and get hurt

Depends - who broke up with who? If you broke up with him, he's probably calling you as a way of telling you that he's over you (which he's probably not). If he broke up with you, maybe he wants to make you jealous.

he just wanted to make you jealous & to ''rub it in your face'' and for you to know that he's moving on with his life,but actually he isn't cos y wud he call you,i'd say that he's not over you yet,he wants you to think that he's ok with the 2 of u's who broke up & he wants himself to think he feels better but actually he doesn't!

This is why you stop communicating with an X. Don't answer the phone, delete his messages, don't read his emails. Move on, and ignore him. Who cares what he is doing?

Perhaps he wants you to be jealous by showing that how happy he is and enjoying life without you.
