The simplest and the cheapest way of handling divorce proceedings is to do all the negotiating and paperwork on your own. There is no legal requirement that you use a lawyer to get divorced. You may not need a lawyer at all. You may just be able to order the forms and do it yourself. That's by far the cheapest way to divorce.
But then money isn't the only thing divorce will cost you. Certainly you can save money but how about the time, stress and sorrow that a divorce will bring.

Cheapest may not be the best. However, there is Pro Se Divorce (Do it yourself).
Low income will qualify you to legal aid attorney.
At the court house ask them to direct you to the child support agency if you are doing a Pro Se.

Don't sell your child/children short..they deserve child support, so get it! You are going to need a lawyer before this is over, so get one now. Being cheap now can cost you big, big bucks down the road...and it isn't your money you are playing with, it is your children's support you are so easily willing to throw away...not nice! since you are obviously a woman then it really shouldn't cost you anything anyway.... as a general rule when getting a divorce the woman's lawyer is paid for by the husband... many lawyers will take your case and go after his fee as part of the settlement
Think of it as screwing him one last time!
