Guess who's coming to dinner.?
When this movie came out, it was cutting edge...Does it still have a relevant message. If so, what, if not, why?

Of course it is still relevant. It's basically about being tolerant of the differences in others and not being afraid of someone simply because they're different. It also speaks to the strength of family to look past those differences and accept someone who makes your children happy.
Great film, by the way. Even today.

I think the message of accepting people who are from a different race/culture/background is still relevant. I mean, look at the success of "Hairspray," and its main focus was about racial equality. That issue is extremely relevant today since there are still so many people who have a hard time accepting others.

The most relevant thing is black men at the time couldn't kiss (white)women on screen. that kinda changed after that movie.
Mixed couples were out there it seems to enlighten them to come out of closet so speak,

It's not quite so much cutting edge anymore. Interracial couples are everywhere. I think some families would still be uneasy if their daughter/son brought home someone of a different color, but I don't think it would be as bad as it used to be.
