Debt Collector?

im a debt collector and depending on the company and how they want you to collect really determines how the job is...my company is ok...we try to work with people over demanding people ya know...it's hard to get used to and learn all the ins and outs....it's always worth a try though...tell your friend to try it and give it a few weeks then decide...

Egg is a trading name of Citibank /Citigroup - a large american bank, so on the face of it it is a good place to work.

The next question is does your friend want to be a debt collector? He'll meet liars and crooks and people he'll want to take round the corner to kick the cr*p out of... and he'll meet some really nice people who have either made some silly mistakes or have genuinely hit hard times. And he'll have to get the money off of all of them.

If he (or she) has the stamina for the stories then it could be a good job.

Horrible job. You are hated, spat at, insulted, and miserable. Its a job that does not give you any job satisfaction, unless you are a bully. You never go home with any good news, especially when your customers are relations. You need good security because given a chance, people will (understandably) try to do you in.

Hi you need to knock on doors and listen to excuses and try to take money people can't afford to give, I think egg is a credit card / loan company.

A balif in the uk would try to take peoples cars and tv to pay the debt.

I'd love to have that job. That would be great. I would be good at it too because I have no sympathy for idiots who run up bills or write cheques their butts can't cash. Ho-ho!

It's a rough job, calling people who don't want to talk to you all day long. You have to get nasty with them if they are ever going to pay. I think your pay is based on what you get people to pay.

must be good at punching debtors on the nose

It's a thankless and sometimes dangerous task.

it is not a nice job....in fact there is one right at the door now taking my kids into slavery

i would imagine its a very aggressive business but he/she will soon find our what its like and they can leave if they don't like it!
