would you tell a friend she has body odor?

oh, heck yeah!! My friends would be really upset with me if I didn't and someone else that they were not close too or God forbid, even liked told them instead. How humiliating!! I would most definitely want my friend to tell me if I stunk,before someone else!

Just tell her you were just being honest and you wanted to tell her before anyone else did, so she wouldn't be embarrassed even worse! You were being a good friend, whether she realizes it or not.

Oh my gosh, you did the right thing! People are too sensitive about things like that. I would so want someone to tell me that I have bad breath, body odor or whatever else. It will be esaier to handle hearing the truth than being lied to.

If you want her to stay your friend you don't. Although you may be correct, alienation is the price you pay. They may have faced previous ridicule for this condition and you bring to life old emotional scaring. She will always wonder if her body odor is effecting you and that your'e being silent not to offend. Now your friendship has become conditional, and conditional friendships do not last.

u did the right thing, its better for her to hear it from u-her friend rather than being between others who will feel the odor and might eventually say sth to her hurting her feelings, u r a true friend. thats at true friends do, they r like mirrors ,so u can actually see what exactly is ur +ve and -ve points.

You probably did the right thing as long as you didn't say something like man dawg you stank. As long as you did it tactfully,she should be glad you told her not someone else because most likely someone that is not her friend would have been rude and loud with it.

I agree with you. My friends and I have an understanding (and we have ALL agreed upon this verbally)...if there is something like that needs to be siad, a TRUE friend would be honest and say something. You are only protecting her in the long run.

no i would rather be told by a friend than some pretty girl im into or something. but then again girls are sensitive you probably should be more subtle.

It hurts in the beginning, but it will help her in the long run. She will be more careful with her personal hygiene.
