Why has my Top Contributor icon gone?
I took a break from Y!A as it was full of trolls and idiots in the Dogs section (where I usually answer questions). It think it was for a couple weeks to a month or something. When I came back (same account), my Top Contributor icon was gone. I've now been back for a couple weeks now and I've got a few best answers but why hasn't it come back? I'd say 70% of my answers are in the dogs section or cats section. Will it come back and when? My stats are; total answers - 2141, best answers - 248, stars received - 1. Any ideas?

I would say that while you took a break...someone else got higher best answer % and you got bumped off the list. You need to keep answering to maintain your Top Contributor icon.

Stars aren't relevant for becoming a TC. Becoming a TC has to do with the amount of "best answers" received in a particular category over a short period of time. You may loose this badge again when you get less active or receive less "best answers". Since you didn't participate for a while, this explains it. Keep answering and you should get your badge back in no time

this could be that you weren't on yahoo answers for awhile as this happened to me before when i took a long break from answers
