This is a 29 gallon tank with 11 danios. I want to add 7 small tiger barbs.

If the tigers are small and the zebras are young it might work out for a while. The zebras are so fast the barbs will not be able to nip. Until the zebras start slowing down at about age 2. Then you will have tail less zebras!!!!!!!

You can put Tiger Barbs in with short finned Zebra Danios though Tiger Barbs are fin nippers and I wouldn't put them in with long finned Zebra Danios. The long finned are slower moving and just too tempting for the Tiger Barbs. I'm glad to see that you are considering purchasing 7 of the Tiger Barbs because their aggression is lowered in larger groups. If you love Tiger Barbs for some reason this set up should work though I personally avoid Tiger Barbs. There are so many nicer looking fish out there that don't destroy the fins of other fish so why bother. The Zebra Danios are great and give life to the top area of the aquarium. They live well with anyone that can't eat them and are fast enough to live well with a lot of fish that could eat them if they could catch them. You can add a wide variety of community fish to this aquarium. I would go with some type other than the Tiger Barbs.
Some options:
Angels - buy 5-7 small ones and remove the others when a pari forms.
Apistogrammas or Rams - have some caves/hiding places on the bottom of the aquarium and they'll do great.
Corys - They're a fun schooling fish that will play and search the bottom while your zebras search the top. You can have these with the above choices.
There are a lot of other beautiful community fish to choose from as well. Enjoy.

I acutely have zebra danios with tiger barbs, but it is in a 55 gallon tank (or over 200 liters). Tiger barbs are schooling fish so it is best to keep them in large groups or they will constantly fight with them self's or with other fish. To answer your question, yes you can put them together but your tank may be a bit small, if you get a chance add the barbs 3 at a time, i would say 6 barbs and 6 danios can be maintained in a tank your size just keep up with the water changes. The Danios in my tank are fine and i haven't had any fights between Danios and Barbs.

You can, but the danios would get at least their fins torn up, and that's not good. Try 3-4 clown loaches if you like the coloration on the barbs. Or tetras would go well with danios, and black skirt tetras are fun to watch and very active. get at least six. Also, try some cory cats

As far as I know tiger barbs are very aggresive towards other fish that is smaller or the same size as them. They are pretty good if mixed with much larger fishes.
The tiger barb has a bad habit of munching the tails of other fish.
