A Parable of Immortality, by Henry Van Dyke

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, "There she goes!"

Gone where? Gone from my sight ... that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There she goes! there are other eyes watching her coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

I feel your Pain, I hope you find comfort in your sweet memories soon. Many Blessings, Ariel.

Father, I know that my Son is now in your care. I thank you for the time you allowed me to share with him.

Thank you for blessing me, for loving me enough to give me a son. Yet, I know your love far exceeds mine and you wanted him with you.

I know there will be a day when we will come together again and it is all thanks to your blessed son.

I know you understand my pain, because you too lost a son to death. So I ask you help me through this. Give me the strength you had watching your son die for the world.

And I pray if at all possible, the return of your Son is soon so I can be with my son in the clouds.

In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

just read all the words of Jesus and you will be saved. You can not pray for you son he is sleeping and will sleep until judgment day . but you can do work and there is lots of it to do so trod on and praise the lord in good and bad for it is his will . we will know all the answers on the day of resurection. and until the time we die we must work hard til Jesus comes.

    Sorry for your loss!

For God loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.

    John 3:16

    or

We do not live to ourselves, and we do not die to ourselves. If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

"God our Father, we remember before you our Son, , and offer you our gratitude for all the memories of him that we treasure still," "He touched us all; with his love... thank you Lord for the time we did have with him. I know this is not a final good bye...we will see him again. In Jesus name, Amen

    Psalm 23:1-6

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. (KJV) Of course you could recite it out of the NIV also.

May God bless you and I am sorry to hear of your loss. I pray God's strength and comfort be with you and your family.
