What is the best product for removing soap scum in the bathroom?

Elbow grease! And, don't let it build up. Keep a Scotch Brite scouring pad handy and give those trouble spots a quick wipe when you finish up in the shower and bathroom. It just takes a second and you won't have any buildup. Much better than spraying those shower cleaners every time you shower.

You can go to the dollar general or walmart and buy this stuff called "Mean Green"... I LOVE that stuff... we just put a new tub in and we cant use scrubbing bubbles on it so I have used the mean green... it just melts the grime off... it is one of the best cleaners I have ever found and its rather cheap too. It wont damage fiberglass either ;)

As far as the tile goes... I hate to tell you this because its hard. But we just bought this house and ya know how you never realize how nasty some people are until you REALLY start looking real close, well that was them... I tried everything, even mean green on the tile. Nothing worked... I got soft scrub, opened the door and window and smeared soft scrub ALL over the tile walls. Let it dry for a couple of hours and went back in and scrubbed the walls down with a scrub brush... this is VERY hard to get off of the walls after it dries I found out but it does work GREAT! That is like worst case senario... good luck!

Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean. I was skeptical when I first started using the product and now I won't live without it. It takes absolutely no scrubbing. Recently, I was hired to clean someone's house (as college student makes money any way possible). This person's tub had not been cleaned for LITERALLY 6 years. It was disgusting. I gagged frequently. But it took absolutely no scrubbing to remove 97% of the stains. I just went over the area. Rinsed frequently. I now use the product for everything -- wood work, scrubbing corners (where my mops do not reach), and any textured surface. It's incredible on textured and smooth surfaces. I now buy one for the entire family.

Here's my method. I use Castrol Super Clean (purple bottle, sold in the automotive section.) The product is made to clean engine parts, but it also works great on removing gunk in tubs and showers.

To kick it up a notch, I scrub it down with a Mr. Clean magic eraser, but often I find that I can just spray the Super Clean stuff in there, turn on the fan and let it do its magic for about 20 minutes.

The only downside of this stuff is that its smelly, but then most high-powered cleaners are.

I used mineral spirits and a scotch brite pad to loosen the scum, wiped it off with paper towels, then washed it down with ammonia and hot water. I kept the fiberglass shower waxed with car wax and used a shower spray after every shower and never had the problem again. My neighbor used WD-40 and a scotch brite pad and got the same results. The soap scum is mostly residual animal fat from the bar soap you wash with.

on the fiberglass use Bonami a scratch less powder the rest use Ajax or comet powder and elbow grease and those green scrubbing pads. good luck

On the tile try some powdered dish detergent

Believe it or not wd40 works! I also use a bleach cleaner spray and spray the shower down daily after everyone is done. No rinsing required.

Try the magic eraser by mr. clean...it is awesome! Works on just about everything.
