why do old men wear their pants so high???

Well, since there is no "Nutt bra", the pants are placed high on the waste to alleviate years of gravitational pull -- to keep those dangling boys safe out of harms way.

Well, would you rather prefer the pants up high and kept on with a belt or their bottoms hanging out?

I know I prefer the high pants over seeing their butts.

On a more serious note, when you get older (it occurs more in men) their excess weight tends to go to their abdomen area so they put their pants over it as oppossed to on it- the pants just stay on better that way. Their butts tend to get flatter, also.

Most of them have a large stomach. If they wore them lower they wouldn't be able to hold them up with a belt. I'm a CNA and just thankful when they will let me dress them. And don't worry, most old guys would probably just stare at you, think you were crazy, if you asked them.

Because when they get old, a small belly appears and by wearing their pants so high they think they're hiding it.In addition to that, back in their days,it was cool

becuz they no longer have a butt to be able to hold them up and if they wear them where they are really supposed to be then they'd have to keep pulling them up all day long cuz they'd just naturally fall down - so your answer is becuz they have pancake butts that can't keep them up - u might've noticed alot of older gentleman wearing suspenders to keep them up too

To avoid the tummy bulge. Its either really high or below the bulge.

To remind themselves that they'd look silly round their ankles.

to hold their tummy in place. things are all sorts of jiggly at that age.
