no. of course not. you're born and stuck in that caste forever no matter how much potential you have. wives have to die with their husbands by jumping into the funeral pyre coz they cant be remarried. and you know what. mahatma gandhi who is revered as the father of india strongly supports it, he himself coming from one of the top castes.

This Caste system prevails in many other parts of the world as well, but it varies from one culture to another.

(The casteism that we find today is the materialistic form of designation that has become a way of oppressing the lower social orders of people. It says that if you are born in a family of a certain classification, then you are of the same class. In casteism, birth is now the major factor in determining one’s social standing. It dictates that your social order, occupational potential and characteristics are the same as your parents, which is a label that may have been placed on a family hundreds of years ago.)

As with humans, we are all imperfect, so a caste system theoretically does not work. There are too many people that will abuse it, developing racism and classism by it, or will use it for their own selfish purposes.

I feel there is casteism in most every part of the world, but just like with any "culture" where Godly principles are not applied, it fails.

Armageddon will make things right in the world. Why? Because at Armageddon all wickedness including those abusing other human beings, thinking they're better because of race, gender, class, stature, will be destroyed permanently.

Casteism, just like with any other behavioral structure in the world is plagued with imperfection because we live in an imperfect world presently. That will all change soon enough.

No one in their right mind can approve the caste system. People cannot be disadvantaged/oppressed for something/ a colour that they did not choose. To be able to approve the caste system you have to be able to justify the practice by demonising those that are affected negatively by it. This means that the negatively affected are punished in multiple ways i.e by them being demonised, marginalised, isolated etc. Those that approve it have to continuously devise means of justifying it (defense mechanisms) like lying etc.

no...since social stratification will surely arise and that social restriction can be distinguished through ones social class which would define their social status in our society..

    indeed hard...harshed..and very much injusticed..

what can we do...this is how our society is constructed...

and gender is social construct to...

    i would just denote:

"in every exclusive social classes distinguished there is elitism presiding"

Source(s): what i learned from our sociolgy class...
