If Jesus was on earth now?
would he be in the churches or would he be out and about with the sinners. Would he condem me if I were drinking a beer.
I am a Christian and I like having a beer or a glass of wine sometimes.

Jesus turned water into wine........Paul did say take a little wine for the stomach sake (your nerves).....''it can help to relax your nerves''....I don't promote any type of alcohol drinking... but a glass or two at most for me is fine....but i thank God that he is one that searches the reins of the heart and not condeming me for my one or two glasses of wine.
We are to drink only in celebration... for the wine is in relation to the spirit of God...why you ask...because it does relax you in spirit,....wine does ease our nerves to open up to one another,...to share our hearts desires....it will make many relax enough to lighten up and enjoy each others company.....this is how the spirit of our Lord works,...if i may explain it in a carnel way.....Now to explain the New Wine,..this Wine which represents the spirit and blood of Christ.....and we being the body his Church..... which is the wine skin that will hold that spiritual wine...and that wine representing his holy spirit.......if we are to recieve his new wine we are to get a new wine skin or else the old will burst.
What i'm saying is....if we drink.... we should drink not to get drunk...we shouldn't do it because we are sad or angry,...but we should do it in a time of rejoicing....and now that we are Christian are manner of rejoicing is different now that we are a new wine skin in Christ....if we are to drink the wine that is carnel do it in the spirit and love of rejoicing with the brethren,... but not in drunkeness.......One of my favorite scriptures if i can relate it to the above answer is........If ye be angry sin not...... We must not do things that put us in a situation to sin......a glass or two is fine for me....once i get about half way through that third glass.....then sin is very close to the door.........let our concious in Christ bare witness to what we should allow.......because for others it might be only 1 glass.....Christ has given us wine in relation to how you feel in the carnal in contrast to the perfect spiritual wine.....both have there place.
I really liked your question!...... but the key is....it must be explained in why it was used in relation to his spirit and sacrificial blood....it's not all about PARTY!! Time! it's a covenant that were able to enjoy in the Flesh and spirit side of our Lives..........I hope i didn't throw a curve ball.....but this is my belief.
Peace out sister Lisa

If Jesus were on the earth right now, I believe that He most certainly would be in the churches, but I also believe that He would be out speaking to the sinners; encouraging them to trust in Him, and accept Him as their personal Savior. You can rest assured that He would condemn you for drinking beer. Your body is the temple of God's Holy Spirit. (1 Cor. 3:16) And we are to do everything within our power, to take proper care of our body. Jesus sees every single move that you make; even though He may not be physically present on the earth at this time. And if you are drinking beer, do not think for a moment that you are hiding it from the Lord.

This is He that got here by means of water and blood, even Jesus Christ; now not with the water handiest, however with the water and with the blood. For there are 3 that undergo list in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and those 3 are One. And there are 3 that undergo witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and those 3 agree in One. - a million John five:6-eight Therefore does my Father love me, due to the fact that I lay down my lifestyles, that I could take it once more. No guy takes it from me, however I lay it down of myself. I have energy to put it down, and I have energy to take it once more. NO there is nothing wrong with having a drink everyone once in a while but the Bible says not to get DRUNK. I have a glass of wine with dinner and maybe a beer when i go out to eat but i have never been drunk and i have no intensions of ever getting drunk! In the Bible it talks about Jesus having a "fermented drink" and when you ferment anything it becomes alcoholic...so he even had alcohol... from what i understand

I think Jesus would be in both places...He'd spend time in the church, and also out with the sinners..and I doubt he'd condem you for drinkin a beer considering he drank wine in the Bible ;) i think Jesus would be pretty cool, and wouldn't mind a glass of wine every now and then ;)

If Jesus were on earth, he would disapprove of the churches that exist today. Organized religion has become corrupt and churches exist to control people (to accumulate power and wealth). Jesus does approve of alcohol, not matter what people today think.
Matthew 11:19
Jesus came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners.

Well, his first miracle was to create wine. What do you think?
It wasn't like they hadn't had any wine and he didn't just make a bottle, we're talking gallons and gallons. But it was a celebration and not a drunken lifestyle.
Also, he pretty much hung out with sinners, although I do have to say that their lives changed after they hung out with him. A real encounter with Jesus changes you. The sinners became the church.

aisha.wasachild, thas just the type of comment that i'd expect from a christian...you people just love to slam other religions just because they don't think like you. personally, i'm wiccan and i try to be tolerant of all religions and try to see the good points that every religion has. i guess if you're closed-minded though, you can just about expect that you'll end up a christian. seems thas the criteria for being a christian...just close your mind. as for the question, i think jesus would be out teaching people how to live right according to him and what he believed. he prolly would also be in church because from what i've seen, most people in church need to be shown the correct way to live according to what their bible says. most don't follow it at all. having said that, how can they expect others to follow it?

As long as you don't drink & drive, and as long as you're not breaking the law by being too young to drink, I don't think it's a sin.
When Jesus was on Earth, He occasionally visited holy buildings, but usually he was out with the sinners, converting them to God's path.

If Jesus were on earth today he would have a hard time being understood by those who claim to beleive in the message he was meant to bring... they would crusify him again and again because they the religion and the religious have already made up their minds on what they expect to hear.. and the truth is he'd be here to condemn each and every one of you...
