I'm trying to decypher a dream I've had twice.?

In this dream I see a herd of about 5 or 6 deer climing into and then laying down in a big tree. They are being led by a buck that I think the horns are so big it could be a moose. I spacifily say this in the dream that I think the horns are that big. I've had the dream twice now. So according to dream imagry, what do deer, trees and deer that resemble moose mean?

Update:

Theres more to the dream if its important. I'm seeing the scene I described above from the inside of my house, looking through the picture window, I can't belive what I'm seeing so I point it out to my wife who is standing near me. Thats as much as I can remember.

Cookbook answers are often misleading, so I don't bother looking them up. What do deer mean to you? Do you hunt them, admire them, or what? The deer probably symbolize some aspect(s) of yourself. The exagerrated maleness of the buck suggests to me this is something about the relationship or roles of masculine and feminine energy in your life (animus and anima are the Jungian terms for it), which are frequently out of balance in individuals. Or, depending on what's going on in your life, it could be about some more specifically sexual issue.

These short dreams are usually tough to figure because there are so few clues, but I believe the repetition is important.

By the way, the novel "Jamesland" involves a character who studies the symbolic meaning of deer. It gets into the mythology and archetypes of deer, but I don't remember the details.

Deer can represent people who are of a humble nature. The buck with the big horns obviously represents a male, someone who is a leader and of authority. Tree can also represent someone of great authority and who has a solid foundation in life and under his authority there is shelter, rest, and protection for the deer.
