How you can be a top contributor but not contribute many questions,some none at all? .?

The leaderboard is about getting points. Quite a number of top answerers are also top contributors. I will correct you on your first assumption in order to become top contributor you need to answer alot of questions in one category. A top contributor or non top contributor can ask questions if they have the points. I have answered many questions as of lately from top contributors.

Did you run out of questions? That can make this forum even more boring than it is sometimes. However, the forum is for those that genuinely want to share or are looking for solutions to real life problems. They are easy to see when one is in a situation and when one is just asking questions to pass time or gain perspective on something. Some even use this forum as a learning process. Why would you worry about leaderboards or top contributors unless you are a moderator or manager of the forum. Different people use the forum for different reasons. What, pray tell would be your reason?

Questions take away points, answers add. If I have a question, I know how to find an answer. If I want an opinion, I might go here. But as I know must peoples opinions on these matters from reading earlier posts, I don't have much of a need to question. Tho I have asked a few.

I can't imagine why you'd not want to answer questions. I've only been doing this for about a week, and I can't stop asking. All sorts of nonsense. Anything that pops into my head. It's great fun. I think I talk too much. Do I need help?

Points can be earned back just as quick as you go through the levels.

Asking questions is irrelevant to being a top contributer as its based on answering not asking.

I'm a blabbermouth and answer as many questions as I can. I also try to answer intelligently and therefore score more of the best answers. Why we do it, I don't have a clue. Probably because we're sad and sat in front of a computer when others are out having fun.

well i've been a tc in 3 different catagories (i stopped using it for long periods or yahoo deleted my account) and the reason for this is because the more questions you ask the more people you see and meet and thus the more friends you make giving you more people to pick your answers to their questions.

its a strategy lost on many people. hence you have so many "trolls" or so called trolls with high points. because they ask so many silly questions PEOPLE LOVE THEM and so they pick them when the trolls answer their questions

yahoo's been trying to ban this because ..yahoo..didn't think this whole answers thing out all the way. so now they want to blame "trolls".

I think the top contributer is for the answers ...for someone who contributes lots of answers in a certain category.

You only get points by answering & it takes a while for yu to get to the next level. I'll get back with the list of points.
