costume ideas for someone who works at animal hospital?

a syringe? You could do a poster board or foam (you could use very thin upholstery foam for the barrel-that way you can sit down) barrel with cc marks along your height. Make a plunger hat with a paper towel tube and a circular piece of foam core or cardboard. Just don't jab your toes with the needle :-).

orrrrrrr,,,,,,, you could be one of those bizarre kitty toys with things like feathers and such hanging from wires (you know the ones I mean---like you get in the grocery stores).

or the obvious......a fire hydrant. (but carry paper towels)
