I think it will be the Riders, but I'm a Saskatchewan girl.

I think the Lions should be considered the favorites.
* Depth at QB has paid off.
* Strong running game with Joe Smith. He is one his way to breaking the CFL single season touchdown record.
* Aggressive offensive line gets inside of competitor's heads
* Great talent at the reciever position (Simon, Clermont, and Jackson compliment each other well)
* Their special teams create opportunities. and Ian Smart shortens the field.
* Defense is strong and contributes points.
* The fact that Tyrone Williams leads the team in tackles at defensive tackle is very telling.
* Cameron Wake leads the league in sacks.
* Ryan Phillips leads the league in interceptions.
* Brent Johnson (last years CFL Defensive Player of the Year) is having another double digit sack/50+ tackle season.
The coaching staff seems to always have the team prepared and make solid adjusments within the game. They also take the risks that are required to be champions.
Plus, it looks like the western road to the Cup is going through BC and the dome can be a loud intimidating place to play.
I do not think other teams have the overall balance that the BC Lions currently demonstrate. If I had to go with one other team that I think stands a chance that would be a Toronto team with Michael Bishop at the helm. Their defense is strong enough to give them a chance to win every game and Bishop can be very dynamic.

BC over Toronto. I love how the Riders fans have their first good season in the last 10 years, and now think they're going all the way. Sorry kids, but the road runs through Vancouver--and I'm not even a Lions fan.

Would love to see the Riders do it, but I have to think B.C. will probably win the Cup. There is no competition from the East. It would be awesome to see McCallum shank a 20 yard field goal and loose it for the Leo's and put the Green in the Cup.

Argooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooos
are on fire.
If they beat Winterpeg on Saturday a possibility of first place in the East.
Michael Bishop must stay healthy.
