statistics question?

Find Critical Values, find the critical z values, assume that normal distribution applies.

∞ = 0.005; H1 is p ≠ 0.20

Can anyone help me with this please?

Thanks,

Jennifer

    it is not clear what you are asking. if you are looking for the critical point for a two tail z test with a significance level of 0.005 then you need to find:

    P( |Z| > z) = 0.005

    you can find z by looking at: P(Z > z) = 0.0025

    z = 2.807034

    so the critical points are z = ± 2.807034

    if the test statistic is found to be < - z or > z, then you reject H0 and conclude H1 is true. if the test statistic is between - z and z, then you conclude H0 is plausible.
