things to do near pittsburgh pa?
my bf and i both have tues wed off and want to get out for a bit, what do you suggest to do durring the day in or around pittsburgh pa. an hour or 2 drive is fine. just looking for something to do.
i meant places to go that have things to do. i live in the middle of nowhere so the bliss of trees escapes me...maybe its cuz thats all i see when im home, but we like to travel, but we are going to the game tonight instead so thank you, well most of you, and sir philly, grow up. thanks again

Science Center is a good place to go to. They have a good exhibit going on right now. You may also want to go walk around Station Square, South Side, and the Strip District. You'll find a lot of interesting things to do around these areas. There is also to Pittsburgh Zoo and Oakland. University of Pitt is in Oakland, so there are a lot of things to do there that are geared for the colleged aged people and people in their 20s and 30s. There are also many meusums and stuff down there too. Have fun.

It depends on how close to the city you actually are. There are many, many suburbs surrounding Pittsburgh on all sides of the rivers. It also depends on what you like to do. Whenever I go to the city (I'm about an hour away), I go to Kennywood, Sandcastle, the PPG Zoo and Aquarium, Color Me Mine, The Carnegie Museums/Andy Warhol Museum/Heinz History Museum, Heinz Hall, O'Reilly Theatre, Primanti Brothers, South Side Works, and any number of bars and restaurants.

You could go for a walk in Moraine State Park or McConnel's Mill State Park. Since the leaves are changing, either would be really nice places to go hiking right now. They are also just nice places to go when you just want out of the city for a little while.
