    1.4448 x 10E24 atoms of carbon.

    Just multiply the moles of carbon given times Avogadro's number

    (2.4 moles)(6.02x10E23).

    1 mole of a substance=6.02*10^23 (avagadro no.)

    2.4mole =2.4*6.02*10^23

    =14.448*10^23 atoms of carbon

    #atoms = 2.4 mol x 6.0 x 10^23 atoms/mol = 14.4 ~ 14 x 10^ 23 = 1.4 x 10^24 atoms C (2 significant figures)

    1 mole is 6.022 x 10^23 atoms. 2.4 moles would be 2.4 x 6.022 x 10^23 atoms. 1.477 x 10^24

    all that's is conversions, in one mol there is 6.02x10^23 atoms 3.6x10^24 atoms C x a million mol C/6.02x10^23 atoms C = i dont have a calculator on me, yet its actual (3.6x10^24)/(6.02x10^23)
