Is Al Gores lies about Global Warming becoming contagious?

Anderson Cooper said on TV last night that the California fires were caused by Global Warming. I lived in California for yrs and seen many fires like the one going on now. I seen them 40-50 yrs ago the only difference now is that there are a lot more houses in California than there were then. I think that people have went Global Warming nuts what do you think?

Whats really scary is how easy it is to make people believe anything that a majority believes in.That still doesn't make it so.it just means more people believes it.Personally I am going to believe those scientists who don't go along because they neither can all be wrong. And if we all live long enough,we will live through this too just like the ice age we haven't gotten yet.So climate change is real, and nothing we do will change it,global warming? I am not so sure of,Doesn't the entire planet has to warm to make that a fact? Well that hasn't happened yet either. So no,for some will be good for others no,it is the way of the natural world,of which God is in control of and man wished he could fool us all into believing he is.lol.

Anyone who does any real research will find that there is global warming going on now and of course some of it may be a natural cycle but cycles can be influenced by external means, in this case human actions. The biggest threat to the earth regarding global warming are the extremist on either side; Anderson Cooper for that statement and those who claim that there is no global warming going on at all, for example, and those who accept what they read without considering the reason a statement is made. An example of that is those who live in Michigan and deny global warming because to admit it would mean it would be necessary to stop making cars which add to the problem or alter those cars - as they have begun doing. someone in a coal mining area might be aware that to admit global warming is real and coal burning contributes to any degree to that, he is saying we have to stop mining this coal, and therefor his areas economy goes down the tube so he simply denies the fact

We might say that forest fires in another part of the world are the cause of global warming but that might be compared to a criminal being given immunity because he is willing to testify against a more serious criminal, yet they are both guilty to some degree.

Any person who argues one way or the other, for or against global warming should have at least one scientific site where he can say that he got his information - Union of Concerned Scientists is mine - or he or she is merely parroting what he or she has been told and that only adds to the confusion rather than helping anyone.

I watched a doc. the other day about this subject, and the consensus of opinion is the forest service is to blame! 40 to 50 years ago, each and every wildfire was exterminated immediately. This caused a tremendous build-up of brush in the forests. Now that build-up is fueling the fires of today.

Not a popular stance. :) Even tho there is a host of proof that global warming is a fraud, no one wants to hear it.

The weather patterns are cyclical. Yes, we will have a hundred or so years of warmer weather, but it will drop back down again, as it always does. Man's imprint on heating up the atmophere with hydrocarbons is litterally nothing when held in comparison to the amount of active volcanoes in the world today, spewing gasses, and material into the air. A NATURAL occurrance. But does ANYONE look at the facts? No. They'd MUCH rather believe AL Gore. *sigh*

The hardest thing to understand is the fear of the idea of GW!

You should have been around in the sixties when the argument started on needing to have clean water, where those who were against believed dilution was the cure for pollution and we shouldn't worry about it! Rivers and bays then were no pretty sight.

Everything is caused by global warming these days. News programs and papers sell more when there's a reason to keep people scared.

I've heard that active hurricane seasons are caused by global warming as well as no hurricanes because by global warming.

It's a slick marketing ploy for the uneducated.

Al Gore has little to do with it.

What's become contagious is the increasing mountain of scientific data that proves global warming is real, and mostly caused by us.

That has affected most all of the world's scientists, and , in turn, EVERY major scientific organization, most all world leaders, etc.

    This tells the story:

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Seriously, while Global Warming is UNDOUBTEDLY occurring, attributing a specific bush-fire to it demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the actual science.

It is the easy answer for the environmental nut jobs. The next thing I will hear is how wild fires should be banned since they pollute the air.
