for example...
A-23 purple street... --- IP address
PALM OAKS --- domain name

Actually an IP address and domain name refer to the same location. Basically a Domain Name Service (DNS) server maintains a list of names (e.g. www.yahoo.com) and their corresponding ip address (e.g. 209.131.36.20). This way you don't have to remember IP addresses
