Who still believes in Brandon Vera?
I know that Tim Sylvia beat him. But that was his first loss. Plus he apologized that he didn't implement the game plan legends Rob Kaman and Lloydd Irvin gave him. It's just different in the cage after the first hit. . .where is your game plan. Brandon is young and he will be back. I still believe, because he is genuine. Stay Flip!
I DID NOT mean I don't support Brandon Vera. I am a fan and have been since even just one Muay Thai class when he was with City Boxing. I am just trying to see what else peeps think out there. Geez, ease up peepos!

I do because he is young, has a great attitude, and is very talented. You could hear his trainers telling him to circle then throw the roundhouse. I think he was a little too excited and didn't do it. Apologizing to his trainers in front of a full house shows just what kind of young man Brandon is.

Brandon Vera went the distance. He needed this loss to refocus anyways. He needed to be battle-tested. And Tim Sylvia ain't no slouch so all in all, the next guy Vera fights will be in a world of hurt.
Peace

I believe in him. Tim Sylvia has beaten 88 percent of the people he has fought. Vera appeared to be a little undersized and had a long lay off between fights. He will be back.

He's still young and a great fighter. Also I don't know that I would go so far to say Tim Sylvia "beat" him.. He won technically but the fight pretty much sucked. Tim looked slow and sloppy, he got over by a pinch.

He's young and still learning. Sylvia is a very hard guy to fight b/c of his size. Plus, he's a former champ and has been in there with some top guys. No shame in losing to him. Vera will bounce back, he fought a good fight.

Sheesh, I would hate to think that as a fighter, I'd only have to lose once to lose the support and respect of my fans. Do you really think that way? EVERY fighter loses. A true champion takes the loss, learns from it, and comes back better.
I would hope that Vera hasn't lost a single fan. He's not my favorite, but his loss has in no way affected my opinion of him.
Might you be one of those guys in the crowd that cheers for a fighter at one point, then boos as soon as real life happens? Or vice-versa?

hes a good fighter, i think the size difference played a big factor in that fight. he said hes gonna stay a heavyweight so we'll see how he progresses but dropping might be in his best interest somewhere down the road

He's lost what, once? He's still a very good fighter, look at how many losses some of the more reknowned fighters have. He's no different.

i still believe in him. i even think he needs that "L" on his record more than a "W". That "L" will teach him a lesson and will improve him by much than if he got a "W". I'd be happier if he won, but if by getting beaten he learn something, the so be it

i never thought he was all that great to begin with. not that i'm happy with the method tim used to win, but again, don't think brandon's all that....
