  • Old eMac internet is slow. Why?

I have an eMac from 2003-2004. When I boot up Firefox, or any internet browser for that matter, it just moves slow. I have a PC laptop in the same router connection and that one moves fast. Why is the eMac so slow? Virus? Just old?

  • Was BJ Penn hyping up the fight?

I hope he was, cause all the $hit he talked and he got grinded down by GSP. Penn is still one of my faves. But, when does he have to talk that much crap and not back it up. I felt so sorry for him. Anyone else knows if he was just "selling tickets" by all the trash talk?

  • Biggest Loser = Is Joelle really that dumb?

Wow. . .I don't even know where to begin on this girl. She is the complete opposite of Carla (who is a beast!). Who else thinks Joelle has no clue or doesn't even know what the eff if going on in the real world. I wish someone would slap some sense into her.

  • Solution to take off styrofoam residue on painting(?)?

We have a painting on a wood surface that was packed a while back with some styrofoam "popcorn" packing material. Now some of that styrofoam residue has attached itself to the painting. Is there any way to remove that without harming the painting?

Thank you for your help in advance!

  • CUSTOMER SERVICE = the lost art?

It seems like I'm not the only one after I took this poll with people. So I am asking it here. In my opinion, customer service is a lost art. This is about customer service when you call and talk to someone over the phone with your credit card company, or a store, or even the unemployment office. Most are rude, as if they are doing you a favor. You try to be the nice person over the phone. Asking them how they're doing, and the information you need help with. I don't know if it's the training. I don't know if those people are having a bad day. BUT, if you are CUSTOMER SERVICE.....I'm sorry, that is what you signed up and get paid for. You should suck it up and be helpful. When I go to work I check my drama at the door. Anyone else feel the same?

  • Can you make a PDF an e-mail blast attachment?

I was just wondering if there is a way to do e-mail blasts with a PDF file. If you design an e-mail blast in InDesign and convert it as a PDF...what would you need to make send it to your database of e-mail addresses?

Are there templates needed on the e-mail (program)?

Are there complications with some e-mail servers (gmail, hotmail, etc.)?

    Please help. Thank you!

  • Who still believes in Brandon Vera?

I know that Tim Sylvia beat him. But that was his first loss. Plus he apologized that he didn't implement the game plan legends Rob Kaman and Lloydd Irvin gave him. It's just different in the cage after the first hit. . .where is your game plan. Brandon is young and he will be back. I still believe, because he is genuine. Stay Flip!

  • iMovie/iDVD question on Mac?

I'm very green when it comes to these two.

I’m trying to do a slideshow of photos in iMovie to transfer to iDVD so I can burn it as a DVD. When I drag photos in iMovie and preview, the photos zoom from close to far (to show the whole picture). But before you see the whole picture it goes quickly to the next picture.

Is there a way that the photos just show the whole photo without the zoom in/out transition? I've checked a million times on the menu and just can't find it.

I'm getting to the point that I want to just use Powerpoint! :) aaargh!

  • Fuse Box/Breakers HELP - Circuit not working :(?

Okay, my friend the electrician is also stumped. Was checking all the switches/breakers in the fusebox...turned them all off/on separately. Now, one area of the house doesn't have electricity going to it. Nothing will turn on! grrrrr! We even put a new breaker on thinking that is a bad/old one. Still won't work! What's next in this process? What do we check next? Heatwave is here and we are melting by the minute. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY PRO'S HELP!

  • Am I obsessed with my scale and they way I look in pictures?

Okay...I know there's a lot of different answers to this (maybe).

I was on Atkins...lost about 40lbs. and of course gained 25 of it back. Been struggling to get that back off of me. I weigh-in once a week, same time, same place, same way. Up and down...trying to keep it down. On a good workout program (Muay Thai, Martial Arts, Plyometrics, etc) and trying my best to eat right (SouthBeach style). I look in the mirror and see improvements. I look at pictures and I still see HUGE...I still see as if I didn't lose anything (even just a little that I have been weekly). Then there's the scale...I feel good...until I step on it and it doesn't show me any progress. Am I trippin'? Should I base it all on these things? THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP. Hopefully I can be in a good weight goal by this October. Pray for me :)

  • What could I tell a friend who is always worrying. . .?

He constantly worries. . .about all kinds of things. Uncertain things; things that he makes up in his head (stories); scenarios that put fear in his head. When things get a bit better. . .he seems like "looking" for another thing to worry about. All in all, he is strong, but I just can't stand the fact that he does this to himself and worries about stuff beyond his control or are not neccessarily true at all. Makes sense? If not, I can explain further.

I just don't want him to be in this "cycle".

  • What to do with your Palms after Palm Sunday?

I've always wondered what to do after you get Palms in the Palm Sunday Mass. I usually make a Cross out of them and put them up at the house on top of doorways. Then the others I cut and put in things that I want God and Jesus to "bless" or bring good luck to. Is there a site that gives information on what you are supposed to do with the Palms you get on Palm Sunday after you leave church?

Thank you for your answers in advance!

  • Can you get a virus or spyware if your computer isn't on?

    Thanks in advance for answering.

I'm not that I.T. savvy, so I leave my question to the pros.

I have a Mac and PC laptop connected to a cable modem/router. I have hi-speed internet. If the computer's aren't on, can they get a virus/spyware? Should I unplug the connections when I am not using them?

Might be a "duh" question.....but again, I'm not that savvy.

note: I do have Norton 07 and Spyware protection.
