CUSTOMER SERVICE = the lost art?
It seems like I'm not the only one after I took this poll with people. So I am asking it here. In my opinion, customer service is a lost art. This is about customer service when you call and talk to someone over the phone with your credit card company, or a store, or even the unemployment office. Most are rude, as if they are doing you a favor. You try to be the nice person over the phone. Asking them how they're doing, and the information you need help with. I don't know if it's the training. I don't know if those people are having a bad day. BUT, if you are CUSTOMER SERVICE.....I'm sorry, that is what you signed up and get paid for. You should suck it up and be helpful. When I go to work I check my drama at the door. Anyone else feel the same?
As I said, not all companies are like this. And I always ask them how they are doing FIRST. I always think that if you treat them nicely first, then it should come back. But this isn't the case. And YES, some customers can be rude, I've seen/heard that too. But that's not the point.
One more thing. I will always pay more for great customer service. Hands down.

I completely agree. and that i do trust this is lack of teaching and usually people are not satisfied with their lives. inspite of the undeniable actuality that, i'll assert, the former day I had to make quite a few calls to diverse organizations and they were all excellent notch shopper provider and It only tickled me pink to understand all isn't lost!! They were each joyful and effective and specialist. It extremely made my day. this is only too undesirable that those are the exception to the norm lately. enable's desire it turns round.......

I agree. People are all miserable these days it seems.
They know they are going to have to deal with complaints...they need to get used to it.
