no to the applesauce....clear meaning no pulp and able to see thru, does not have to be clear as in colorless, any color but red since you don't want anything in your colon that could look like blood...liquids whether runny, frozen or gelatainous, sugar content does not matter...clear juices, broth, juice popsicles or frozen icees non-dairy, jello, coffee, tea, soft drinks...think clean, empty colon

My husband is preparing today as we speak. Jello is allowed by his Dr. Just not the any red color or grape color. Apple sauce or anything with pulp is not allowed for him. He is on a clear diet except for the jello. Fruit juices, again no red or grape colors or flavors. Chicken broth and beef broth is allowed. Clear usually means you can see through it. But with him the Miralax is mixed with Gatorade. He is allowed coffee or tea, but no cream or creamer products. I did this method a year ago and it was a breeze for me. I am always very aware of my colon and keeping it clean so that may have helped me over all. The best advise to follow is the one that your Dr. gives you. They will give you instructions. I also thought about the poor people all over the World that go hungry and would have loved to had the Gatorade or chicken broth. For me, to think about how much worse it could be make it very easy for me. Listen to soothing music.

A liquid diet is just like it sounds liquid.....Apple cider, jello, soup broth are considered liquid as I've had to do this before too, applesauce not so.

No applesauce is not a clear liquid. Also apple cider is not clear. You can have apple juice. Have been there and done what you are doing. It has to be clear! If you get there and are not cleaned out they reschedule you and then you have to start all over again. Good luck

Jello is not recommended because of the dyes & sugar If you have Jello make sure it's clear and sugar free. Fruit juices are iffy. If they're high in sugar, acid or pulp, you should avoid those. Hope that helps.

Jello is permitted but not red. Applesauce is not a liquid I would not do the cider either it has pulp.

Apple sauce is neither clear, nor is it a liquid. Jello is neither clear, nor is it a liquid. I would call your doctor's office in regard to the cider.
