Subsidy unlock codes are not a password you forgot. These are established by cell phone companies in order to prevent you from utilizing their devices on another network, for instance, a cingular phone on a t-mobile network.

In order to get the subsidy unlock code legitimately, you must contact your provider for the code. If you are a customer, in good standing, they will typically provide you the code, though they will certainly make you wait for it. The only legitimate reason why you would need this unlock code is if you plan to continue using your phone outside of the country.

There is some controversy over this topic, and rightfully so. How is it that a company can restrict you from using a phone on whatever network you deem fit if indeed you purchased a phone from them. Presently, the companies who locked the devices are not required to give you the subsidy codes if you are not a customer. The argument is that the phone was sold at a discount of which one of the conditions is the locking of the phone to a single provider.

There are certain software packages that you can purchase to "unlock" the device yourself, but these typically require you to purchase cables as well. It may be easier to find a store that unlocks phones for a fee.

Try searching on Google using the keywords subsidy mods or subsidy modifications. There's all kinds of stuff I've found about modifying cell phones but don't know the make and model of your phone and exactly what it is you are trying to do. Do some searching on the various search engines and hopefully you can find what you are looking for.

you can look into a Brute Force program. I can't garantee that you will find one that's easy to use and understand.
