I sell on eBay and I've found the easiest and best way to calculate shipping fees for items you want to sell is to purchase a postal scale that weighs by the ounce and to add onto that weight the packing material and box weight of whatever you're selling. I then put in the weight as a custom weight and have it calculate the buyer's weight by location. Otherwise you can weigh the item and go to usps.com and calculate postage.

Go to the post office and get a rate chart. There, you can also get software that will allow you to print your own postage. Get a scale from an office supply store and you're all set.

Do not way over charge like some people do. I do not buy from people who charge ridiculous shipping amounts and I know that I am not the only one. However, do not forget to add a little something to your shipping charge for handling. It is your time and it is worth something.

    Good luck.

Depends on what you are selling. If it is magazines, books, dvds use media mail, which is calculated by the pound instead of by the ounce. You need to know the actual weight of the package and then you can go to www.usps.com and calculate postage.
