What is a common present for an Indian wedding?

We are invited to an indian wedding, but we have no idea about what could be a nice present according to their tradition!

(it can't be an elephant...we have to fly a long distance!!!)

Thank you

Update:

It is eastern indian, not american!

If you are planning to give money, give it as 101, or 51, those are lucky numbers. I am not sure, but if it ends in a 1 it is considered lucky for the person or people (bride and groom) receiving it

Personally, I would pick something from your heritage to share with them...a family tradition or something along those lines... You could hand make an ornament they place on their door decorate with feathers...beads...whatever you want.
