If you drink urine for survival, is it better to drink your own or someone else's?

One of th survival shows said to drink ur own, the other one said to drink someone elses. It has started a debate among my wilderness men and i need it cleared up, so they will stop discussing it. I hope we never need the info though. thanks.

Update:

thank u all . Like i said i hopeto never need the info. i would think i would drink my own, too. But someone said it was better to drink someone else's.

Better to drink your own. While urine is said to be sterile, that is only applicable while it is actually in the bladder (asuming there is no bladder infection, of course).

As soon as the urine exits the body, it comes in contact with bacteria.

I would think it would be healthier (and less nasty) to be drinking your own germs that you had already been exposed to rather than someone else's.

I would think drinking urine only dehydrates you more. There's a reason your body is getting rid of that stuff. Gross

When you are truly dehydrated you can not pee .I would never drink urine,I would rather die without a bad taste in my mouth.
