How can I fix my Kyocera FS680 laser printer?

Anyone technical out there? My printer keeps reporting that it is jammed, even though it actually isn't. I did email Kyocera but they weren't exactly helpful. The printer is clean, as are the trays, and it has a relatively low page count. When I send a document to it, it starts ok but fails to pick up a sheet of paper from the upper tray and then reports a jam.

Please help - it's driving me mad.

Open paper tray, locate the feed roller (small rubbery wheel) and moisten a cloth. Gently clean the roller to remove build up of paper dust from it.

Also worth using is some "anti static foam cleanser" on the cloth to help deep clean the rollers, or the premoistened "Screen wipes"

Also check there is nothing blocking hte paper path, remove paper cassette, and toner catridge (and drum if I recall correctly) and see if you can feed a sheet of paper MANUALLY from tray up into the "imaging chamber" where the toner lives. If this feels too stiff, there could be an obstruction in the way, fragment of paper scrunched up after a REAL jam, or fault sensor arm.

If you find something and can remove it, reassemble, and test

I had the same problem with my OKI,

1.Make sure paper size/weight is correct in properties.

2.Try lighter (60gsm?) paper, print up about 50 copies of whatever and then it should clear up after that.
