Second time IUI -my doctor has scheduled a blood test for tommorro but since its sunday won't have it till MOnday .I took an early home test (strip) and it shows a very faint positive line...Has anyone had a faint positive line and turned out pregnant?
Thanks wish I cold give you all best answer:) MOnday morning though have not gone for my blood work at the lab .I retested with another first responce and the line appeared darker. They also told me exactly what you guys said "a faint line is also consdidered a positive as well" thanks for all your best wishes

Yes, I took one the day after my period was supposed to start and it was very, very faint. You couldnt even see it anymore after 20minutes but I was about a month pregnant at the time. Congrats, best wishes.

As long as you followed the instructions carefully for your pregnancy test, a faint positive is still a positive! I had the EXACT same thing happen to me. I took a pregnancy test & had the positive line come out VERY light. So light that you could barely see it unless you were holding it at the right angle. So I thought that maybe the test was messed up, so I tried for a second time & the same thing happened. I waited 2 more days & re-tested & the positive line came out much darker. It's only light because you may have tested a little early & have low pregnancy hormones at the moment. But if you wait another day or so & were to re-test, you would see the line become much darker because your pregnancy hormones double everyday! Congrats & good luck! =]

Yes this can happen depending on the test. Also the test is measuring the level of a hormone called beta hCG. Human chorionic gonadotropin. It rises gradually at first then peaks at ~ 3mths gestation and then falls again, so in very early pregnancy the levels are low and depending on the quality of the test, some don't pick up very low levels as well as others.

Any line that indicates pregnancy is 99.99% positive, even if it's a faint line. Congratulations!

Any line on a hpt is a positive!
It means you've got enough HCG being produced to be pg but not enough to have a really strong line.
Good luck to you! Hope it's a sticky one! :-)

Line only shows up if it detects HCG. Contgrats your pregnant.
This happened to me on my second daughter.
