How many movies does 80gb ipod hold?
Hi
I trying to decide between the 80gb ipod and the 160gb and wanted to know how many videos or tv shows does an 80gb hold? I wanted to for more videos. I think the 160gb is too big but wanted to check I could get enough movies on the 80.

Ok the average feature length movie is 750 mb - so 2 movies equals 1.5 gb!!! when we do the math that would mean that an 80gb hard drive can hold about 100 movies - but that would be with absolutely no music on it!!
I initially bought the 160 gb and returned it because i really don't need that much room and got the 80gb!! Ample room for me. Hope this helped!!

One movie on a regular DVD (dual layer) can be up to 9 Gb, for highest quality. The same movie encoded can be put on one CD 700 mega keeping a VHS quality.
So I'd say starting from 2 megabytes-per-minutes for decent quality videos.

Do your self a want and are not getting an iPod. particular you may positioned 80GBs properly worth of track and video, yet you will could desire to tackle their proprietary application that may regulate the records. i in my view do no longer understand the factor of tiny video the two. Get a inventive Zen M. you nevertheless have the alternative of video, yet with extra flexibility. Plus you do no longer could desire to tackle iTunes. in basic terms drag-and-drop any records simply by fact it may act like an exterior problematic force. And it has extra proper audio output. between the main suitable sounding gamers, proper up there with the Cowon iAudio x5.

That depends on how you encode them. Properly encoded, a movie can be around 700MB. Do the math.
