Where are the People that hung around the Large Xmas tree at Zilker park and sang Beatle songs on Dec. 8th?
John Lennon was shot on Dec 8th in 1980, The local radio station asked everyone to go to the Xmas tree at Zilker park. We sat around ,drank a little and sang Beatle songs until the Park Rangers kicked us out. This was a true "happening", It occured for several years on the 8th of Dec. . One year they moved it and I lost contact with these people. Where are you guys at?????? I would love to meet again this year on the 8th of Dec at the xmas tree at Zilker!!!

Hopefully they all went home. But try a google search and you might come up with some info. Would be great if you could all come together again.

I would suggest contacting the radio station that knew about it. Someone had to ask them to distribute the info, and they probably have it on file. If not, I'm sure someone would remember. You should try and get the group together yourself. Ask the radio station to have everyone gather again.
