Good place to buy cloths for a 2 month old that is inexpensive yet uses good materials (No polyester)?

My baby is almost 2 months on Nov 1, and until now I have been just using the clothes that my family and friends bought me for my baby shower. Now, however, though still small (she was born several weeks early) she needs new clothing. Being a young mother at 15, I really do not have the money to be buying expensive clothing, but my baby's skin is very sensitive and only cotton will do. My mom of course is willing to help me out but we want to find an inexpensive store to buy clothing for my baby. Any ideas?

You may not be willing to consider this option, but you can find really good quality baby clothes at many thrift stores or consignment stores. Young babies grow so fast and often have so many clothes that people give them away before they have been used much. Also, many mall stores give their extras to thrift stores such as Goodwill, so you can even find never-worn items at times. I dressed my baby in thrift store clothing until she was three and still shop there regularly just because it is so much more economical than paying the prices at regular stores--and no one would ever guess I wasn't buying new. You will need some time to go through the racks but it is often worth it. When you get the clothes home, just wash them in a mild non-irritating laundry detergent before wearing.

Thrift stores or garage sales is the way to go. I shop at this place by where I live called Once Upon A Child. I just cant buying all brand new clothes when they will only wear it a few times. It can get very expensive. So I shop at that thrift store. And you would be surprised, buying used baby clothes, they are usually in very good condition, almost brand new, well they only wore them for a few months. But look for thrift/resale stores in your area that sell baby clothes. Search for Once Upon A Child, to see if there is any in your area.

I would recommend consignment stores or just putting an ad on craigslist that you are looking for cheap baby clothes. You might be surprised. Also, besides Wal Mart and Target I have found that Ebay has some good deals. The Dollar Store has some cute Fisher Price outfits for real cheap!

No sense in spending tons of $ on clothes- they are just going to grow out of them. Just get comfortable and cozy clothes. Also, don't bother with the 0-3 month stuff- just go straight to the 3 month size.

They grow up sooo fast- enjoy every second!!

Target & Wallmart carry a line of Carter's children's clothing that is 100% cotton, and is relatively inexpensive. You may also want to look at your local goodwill stores or on Freecycle for free/inexpensive baby clothes. You may also want to try ebay. A lot of people sell whole lots of baby clothes for under $20. I know I have gotten things at yard sales & good will that were brand new & still had the tags on them! Other items were still in really good shape.

As your baby outgrows clothes, you may want to sell them off to buy new items for her as well, just remember to keep an outfit or two for the memories.

Mystical Mamba is on another planet- her children matered talking before the age of 1yrs? What fully comprehendable sentences? I'll believe it when i see it. Anyway chick, my lil girl is a month older than your lad. She too isn't saying much when it comes to words. She's very loud with shreiking & shouting in baby babble, can say some words like "mama", "dada" and will every so often surprise like this morning she said "get dolly" but she probably won't say it again for a long time, when she was 12 months she ran up to a picture of a cat & pointed her finger shouting "cat, cat". It hasn't happened since lol. She won't ask for anything either, like her milk, she just does the "mmmmmm, mmm" thing until we guess what she wants. We are hoping its just because she's more active and won't sit still for a mere second. Also perhaps if a baby was hardly left to cry like ours, they may become reliant on the parents to instantly know what they want because they have never really had to kick up much fuss for it. If you are worried though try doing more research into it to hopefully put your mind at rest.

Goodwill and garage sales are your best bet. Check your local newspapers for the garage sale and map out the ones you and your mom want to go to on saturday. Just make sure you get there first thing or all the good stuff will be gone. If you get it from Goodwill, make sure you throw in an extra 1 cup baking soda into the wash cycle and vinegar into th erinse cycle to get rid of that funky smell.

I was just at walmart and they have such cute stuff! I would also try BigLots if you have them, they can be great for little cotton outfits. I also like Ross Dress for Less, my son got a outfit with a hat for 3.99- Good Luck to you and your baby!

I buy all of my sons clothing at Burlington Coat Factory. They are all super cute, most comes with outfit, hat, socks, bib, pjs in a set to match and everything is under $10 usually and all good quality.
