2 planes leave Paris at 1PM, how many miles apart are they at 3PM if A travels 150mph N, B travels 200mph W?

If two planes leave the same airport at 1:00 PM, how many miles apart will they be at 3:00 PM if one travels directly north at 150 mph and the other travels directly west at 200 mph?

I think I am doing this wrong. I subtracted the difference between the speeds and got 50mph then multiplied it by the time displacement of 2hrs. I got 100 miles

    300 miles sqaured + 400 miles squared= 250000, take the square root of that which = 565.68

    Plane A travels 2 hours @ 150 MPH which is 300 miles.

    Plane B travels 2 hours @ 200 MPH which is 400 miles.

Since they're travelling at 90° with respect to each other, the difference separating them is:

    Sqrt(300^2+400^2) or 500 miles.
