My toolbar is gone?

The thing on the bottom of my screen that has the clock and everything on it. Does anyone know how to get it back? I have tried looking everywhere I can think of, and I don't know how to fix it. It is just clear there, and you can see the background on my desktop. have Vista.

Update:

I don't mean the top thing, I am talking about the thing at the bottom, with the clock, and shows what programs are running and everything.

Oh, you need a rubber hammer, a nine iron and 7 gospurs. Mary Guardias had the same problem last week.

Move the mouse pointer close to where the 'Taskbar' (taskbar has the date/time - 'toolbar' is in the browser) should be.

If it suddenly appears, right-click a blank area on it and select properties. Remove the checkmark from 'Auto-hide taskbar'. Then reboot to make sure everything is in working order.

You told it to hide itself. Push your cursor to the bottom of the screen and it will pop up.

    try a system restore

go back to a date/system checkpoint to where everything was where you wanted them to be.click it and the computer will restart to the way your computer was back then.

work to your computer/files may also change back to the way it was then like pictures in set places ect ect

Try hitting Ctrl Alt Delete. That might bring it back up.
