Traditional drinks in Islamic countries?
Just something I've been curious about.
Many traditional societies didn't drink water all that much, before technology existed to deliver safe tap water. In China they brewed tea, Mediterranian countries had wine, and much of Europe had beer, but I know many Moslems don't drink alchohol, and I don't get the impression that tea was popular in the Middle East, either (though I could be wrong on that). So, what did people traditionally drink in Arab and other Islamic countries?

Muslims do drink tea. They also drink water, milk, and Arabian coffee. It's a lot lighter then Western coffee. I've tried Arabian coffee before but didn't like it much. One thing about the Middle East is they have shot glasses that they drink tea and Arabian coffee out of. The Middle Eastern people love small glasses.
