Renault Laguna bonnet catches, spares for not main dealer.?

Help i have a 1996 Renault Laguna, and recently i have had to puchase two second hand catches ( there are two).

Those who know will remember that these catches are operated one from the bonnet release under the dash, and the other by means of a plastic/nylon pulley connected to the main one these wear and split causing one or both to be inoperative thus meaning crawling under the car and trying to stab at the lever with a long screwdriver or other implement!

Can someone tell me where i can get hold of these plastic/ nylon connectors seperately, as the main dealers want £35 each catch assembly !

You cannot get that part seperately.

renault modified the release cables on that car as they say that there was some kind of reaction between he coating on the nipple at the end of the cable and the plastic used to make the bonnet catch.

This weakened the plastic and caused it to break easily.

Their solution was to replace both catches and cables with the modified type.
