Bleeding and 28 weeks pregnant?
just came from the hospital, I had vaginal bleeding and they really don't know why I'm bleeding. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and am vey scared although the DR told me my babygirl is ok but I just don't stop bleeding. Has anyone been through this? I haven't done nothing that can cause it.

I began to bleed at around 8 weeks and then all through my pregnancy because the baby was low and attached near the cervix . He's here and he's fine. Go to your OB, A.S.A.P. He or She should have an emergency number for you to contact, call right away. The doctor that you normally see will know more about what might be normal for you.
Until then, Rest. If there is pain or an increase in the amount that you are passing or if you begin to run fever definitely get back to the emergency department.

I had bleeding all the way up to about 24 weeks. The doctor couldn't tell me why exactly but that one reason might be that I am RH negative. So I get the ro-gam shot every 12 weeks not just at 28 weeks. The bleeding has stopped. I understand how worried you are and that you may feel nobody cares that you are bleeding. But if they sent you home and said the baby was fine then chances are it is. I'm now 34 weeks and my little guy is developing just fine! Good Luck and try to thank positive.

There are many reasons this could happen, from having sex (which can irritate the cervix and cause bleeding) to problems with the pregnancy. If the ER sent you home, they don't feel the pregnancy is at risk at this time. Your doctor should be alerted to this problem and should monitor it closely. You may have placental previa or another unrelated issue.

that sucks why the hospital doesnt know..you better go to a different hospital..even slight bleeding during pregnancy should be given attention...is it painful? or not..cause there are types of bleeding and it would depend on the symptoms of the bleeding..go see another OBgyne..

well at 20 weeks i was told i had low lying placenta and was at risk of bleeding at any time from now until the end of pregnancy. So far so good.
Were you checked for this? An ultrasound would detect it.

This does not seem normal. I do not want to alarm you, but there are many quacky doctors out there. Please call another doctor and get a second opinion. Most doctors recommend complete bedrest in the case of bleeding during pregnancy. Best wishes and God Bless!

i went through this but i was only about 7 weeks at the time and it was only a few months after a miscarriage so they thought i was going to miscarry again. they checked me and everything looked fine but they still couldnt explain the bleeding. luckily for me, it stopped after a few hours and hasn't happened since. im now 16 weeks and everything is going fine!

If they say your baby is okay, I wouldn't worry to much about the bleeding. I would however call your ob and see what they say, unless you saw your ob at the hospital.

Honey, go to another doctor. You shouldn't be bleeding. In the meantime, stay off your feet.
