percent error and the conservation of mass-energy?

the law of conservation of mass-energy states that the sum of the products minus the sum of the reactants equals zero.

therefore:

(A+B) - (C+D) = 0

but if percent error states:

((actual-accepted)/accepted) x 100 = percent error

but if i got 0.09 and was supposed to get was 0.00 then plugged into percent error =

((0.09-0.00)/0.00) x 100 = undefined

so i don't know if thats right.. lemme know??

    I'd show your teacher what you did, along with adding, and this would be my next thought, is that since there is an accepted value but it's zero, that you would simply take the difference and multiply that by 100, giving you an answer of 9%. Hope that helps.
