Well. It's natural. I have a little model car I call Nelly. She listens to me and understands my problems, and she wants nothing in return except for a good cleaning.

It's cool having inanimate objects as friends :) they are great listeners and are right there when you need them, unlike real people .

You should tell them that you feel sorry for him/her for having such a crippling mind narrowing prejudice against, "inanimate objects" and that he/she has closed the door to lots of wonderful friendships.

You are right. If you take good care of them, objects are always true to you. They are reliable. They don't lie, cheat or steal.
