Isn't it about time?

BALTIMORE (AP) The father of a fallen Marine has been awarded $2.9 million by a jury that found leaders of a fundamentalist church had invaded the family's privacy when they picketed the Marine's funeral.

Update:

I am still waiting for the details.

Update 2:

bromide - The cool thing is this opens the window for all of them to be prosecuted, starting with the Cindy Sheehan crowd.

Da*mn straight! Those people had no right invading a fallen soldiers funeral. I wonder if they've ever read a history book? The reason we have freedom is because of soldiers that fought for them. Maybe we should take up a collection and send them a history book and a Bible. But, seeing as they're pretty ignorant, they probably couldn't read it.

Hate to tell all you NeoCons, but ''fundamentalist church'' is almost always in the corner of pro-war, anti-anyone who disagrees...

If they were protesting this funeral, it's likely cuz the family spoke out against Bush and the war for causing their sons death.

That said, all protests at funerals should be banned.

May God's justice be done on the members of that hate filled church. My hope is that all members of that church repent and find the real Gospel of Christ before their own funerals.

Was Cindy Sheehan in the crowd?

  • 1 decade ago

Yes, it was probably Fred Phelps and The Westboro Baptist Church.

EDIT: You know, The God Hates...., Church.

If true it's at least a moral victory... From what I've heard about those people they would have a problem paying $2.90....

Jeez, what kind of morons picket a funeral?

  • 1 decade ago

    That seems a bit excessive.

I don't know. Where are the smart people?

That is very good, maybe that will stop those idiot protesters.
