Ok so can they sell one saying it has features that it dont and get away with it?

Well it depends on whether you can prove that they said it has features it doesn't. If you can (say because you signed a contract stating that the car would have those features) then they can't get away with it but if you can't prove it then it's your word against theirs at which point they probably will get away with it.

Verbal assertations and agreements are not valid. A salseman can tell you that your car can drive itself, get 200 mpg and will never break down. If he doesn't put that in writing as part of the deal paperwork, it is your word against his, and you have no proof that he said those things. If they promised you features in writing then the vehicle they deliver to you must have those features.

I will respond for dealer sales:

What the dealers do is they make you sign a paper describing the car by VIN and then they show what work they are going to do in addition to the installed options. They can promise to sell you a certain car, but get away with liability by making you sign that paper.

Absolutely not. I don't know if you are talking about on e-bay. But they have resolutions and buyer protection when someone is deceitful. You have the right to buy exactly what is being advertised. People and companies can be fined for doing so. Good luck. It's called breach of contract.

its up to the buyer to make sure of what they are getting if they advertise it with certain features and their not their its still the buyers choice,so yes they can still get away with it,they can just say it was a clerical error,and that's it.good luck on it.
