from what i know Jesus pray to the same god as most of us pray to, because Jesus is same like us and he do not want us to worship him, because he know we are as equal as one! he is only different in things of what he has DONE! this is what make him look like different from us, because of his miracle, kind and forgiveness, all this make him a legend, and now god, when Jesus is on earth he did not say when he leave this world he would like a church to build for him, and i think he did not say he want a religion and did not chose a cross for the church logo and all this,
i know you guy be saying that was all a tribute for Jesus to remind of him and so on, but if Jesus can communicate with you, only worshiping him is not what his most wanted, but i think he do not NEED worship, Jesus would like people to not only remember him and go to church on Sunday but also remember and apply what have learn from him through out the whole week really get in action, really show kindness forgiveness, spread love, and all like he did!!
for why he pary is i think because he is like us son of god, when on earth need guidance, from creator, so he pray for it!!

When you look in the bible where it states in Matt 27:46 you see how he says Eli Eli which is short for Eliyun Eliyun El Meaning The Most High of Highest Now in this is who he was praying to.In St.John 5:30 "I can mine own self do nothing as I hear I judge and my judgement is just because I seek not mine own will but the will of the father which hath sent me.So he too prayed for blessing`s.Remember he did this in the Garden Of Gethsemene. As well as while facing death on the cross.
