Do people still take old dollar bills?

I have an old 50 dollar bill. Not TOO old but it's before they put the numbers bigger and before they made it so that if you put it to the light you could see the reflection of the specific president.

Will the store still take it?

All US dollar bills issued after the Civil War which ended in 1865 are still valid, but old bills will be destroyed as soon as a bank gets them. Your best odds of finding old money would be in places like Las Vegas and race tracks.

If the store doesn't take it, take it to a bank or a collector's store to change it. They should know it's still valid.
